Omeshal 20mg Capsules contain omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively reduces stomach acid production. This medication is used to treat various gastrointestinal conditions caused by excessive acid secretion.

Indications

Omeshal is indicated for the treatment and prevention of:

Duodenal ulcers
Gastric ulcers
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Erosive esophagitis
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
Helicobacter pylori eradication (in combination with appropriate antibiotics)
NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers

Dosage & Administration

Adults:

Duodenal ulcers: 20mg once daily for 4–8 weeks
Gastric ulcers: 40mg once daily for 4–8 weeks
GERD: 20mg once daily for 4 weeks
Erosive esophagitis: 20mg once daily for 8 weeks
Maintenance therapy: 20mg once daily for up to 12 weeks
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 60–120mg daily in divided doses
H. pylori eradication: 20–40mg once daily for 10–20 days (with antibiotics)

Children:

10–20kg body weight: 10mg daily
≥20kg body weight: 20mg daily

Side Effects
